Join CBPP and the Poverty & Race Research Action Council for a webinar on families with children using vouchers in the 50 largest metropolitan areas. Using Department of Housing and Urban Development administrative data and Census Bureau survey data, we compare the location of these families to the location of voucher-affordable units along measures of neighborhood poverty, an opportunity index, and the share of residents who are people of color. We’ll share findings from our forthcoming report and show participants how to use a new set of interactive maps and data tables. Policymakers, housing agencies, advocates, and civil rights groups can use these findings to better understand how local voucher programs perform relative to their housing market and identify areas for improvement.
Panelists: Alicia Mazzara (CBPP), Brian Knudsen (PRRAC)
