Join Voices for Ohio’s Children as they present their 2017 statewide Kids Summit, which, for the first time, combines elements of their annual Advocacy Day and Kids Health Conference into one comprehensive, 3-day event.
The Summit will expand the policy conversation, including an increased focus on multi-system and multi-generation approaches. 7 tracks will be offered featuring experts, presentations, and resources tailored to Safe, Healthy, Educated, Connected, and Employable plus bonus tracks on Early Care and Education and Juvenile Justice. Attendees have the option to register for a specific track or sampling a variety of workshops based on their interests.
Voices has also incorporated Advocacy Day into Day 2 of the event where legislators will join attendees for a special education policy-focused luncheon and participate in legislative visits with constituents in the afternoon.
The event will serve as an important touch point for child advocates, service providers, educators, parents, youth, and policymakers and a key forum on child policy in the state of Ohio.
Counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and nurses can earn up to 16 CEUs for attending the summit.
